I have worked in the dental field for 3 years and currently hold a health insurance license. Transitioning from general dentistry to oral surgery has been a rewarding experience. Working with Dr. Luga and Dr. Awah has allowed me to recognize the great patient care and personal touch that can exist in a specialized field. We treat all patients like life long friends. Personally, I was born in Europe and moved to the United States when I was 10 years old. I grew up in Florida and am now married. I enjoy spending time with my family, running, and photography.
Alma Gabriela Angel, ST., Surgical Technician +
Ever since I was a little girl, I knew that I wanted to work helping people feel better. And we do exactly that. For that reason, I am so grateful I have that opportunity everyday working in oral surgery. I am one of the dental surgical assistants and have a background in surgery, having graduated from the Surgical Technology Program at Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan in 2000. Soon after graduation, I chose to specialize in oral surgery because I felt that I had the chance to really have personal contact with patients, which complemented well my previous hospital experience. Working with the team always motivates me to strive for the utmost in our patient care and be most up to date on oral surgery advances in technology to give our patients the highest quality of care. On a personal note, I am married and have a young son. When I do have spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, listening to music, staying active with Zumba, and watching movies.

I’ve worked in the dental field for over 30 years. I started working at an oral surgery office as a summer job throughout high school. I enjoyed it so much I continued on working and received my x-ray and anesthesia assisting certification. I love getting the chance to know our patients and help put their minds at ease. Outside of work, I stay busy with my blended family, 7 kids, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. I love lake life, music, and dancing any chance I get.
Gabriella Proegler, Receptionist +
Oral surgery is a completely new field for me, and I enjoy all of the challenges that come with learning it. I have worked around patients for the past few years and have learned that patient interaction is what I am most passionate about. I am currently a full-time student attending Purdue University of Fort Wayne for my bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Meanwhile, the management I work for is more than supportive of me and my goals while I continue building towards my future. Working in this field I have learned is definitely a challenge, but is beyond rewarding knowing of the satisfaction of our patients. I am thankful to say I am a part of a hardworking team that strives to fulfill the needs of our patients and feel blessed for this great opportunity. Dr. Lugakingira and Dr. Awah are amazing doctors to work for and always go above and beyond assuring quality of care for their patients.
